Parado há 10 anos

O furgão estava parado a cerca de 10 anos debaixo de um coberto por isso não há grandes podres, só ferrugem de superfice.

O primeiro passo foi enceher os pneus que apesar de terem o piso bom tem que ser substituídos por estarem ressequidos e rachados.
A seguir colocou-se uma bateria nova de qualidade, uma Autosil STC 95.0 e deu-se a chave... e pegou a primeira!

Já na oficina tratou-se de fazer uma lavagem por fora, por dentro e por baixo e de seguida inspecionar tudo. Com a nova lei, o livrete é cancelado automaticamente depois de 5 anos sem ir a inspeção, por isso para registar a carrinha novamente será preciso fazer uma inspeção "B" num centro creditado. Essa inspeção é muito rigorosa e custa 90 e tal euros, por isso a carrinha tem que estar 100% funcional antes de ir.




The Van was stored in a shed for around 10 years so there is no major rust issues, just surface rust.

The first step was to inflate the tires that still had good thread but had to be replaced because they were dry and cracked.
Next we put in a new quality batery, an Autosil STC 95.0 and turned the ignition switch... and it started up first try!

Already at the garage it was washed outside, inside and underneath and then everything was inspected. With the new law here in Portugal, the cars papers are automatically canceled after 5 years if you dont take it to the inspection, so to register the van again it has to go to a special inspection in a credited inspection center. This inspection is very thorough and costs 90 something euros, so the van has to be 100% functional before I take it there.
