This is a decent example of a CF2 minibus, believed to be a Martin Walker. I bought this from the Scunthorpe sea scouts 6/7 years ago and used it as my family bus for a while until I decided to fit a hotter engine…… then child number 4 came along and things ground to a halt. The list of work done is as follows:
2.4 CIH fitted, almost doubling power from the original 20T engine with 75hp. New Weber 32/36 jetted to suit.
Power steering conversion by power steering solutions. Beautifully made and adjustable assistance.
Rebuilt front brakes
Vauxhall Senator front seats and rear seats from an Airbus A320 trimmed to match. I was going to fit this using unwin rail.
Repainted in British Rail blue from the previous Kermit green. No welding was needed back then - it’s amazingly solid in all the troublesome areas.
I haven’t run this for 4 years so please don’t expect to drive it away. OS rear arch now needs a little work however this will be an awesome little van when done with bags of character. I already have 3 CF2s (plus 10+ Opels, Vauxhalls and Holdens) which is a bit silly so this one, being at the front of my garage needs to go first.
