i have owned this van for a good few years over 10. i would have been happy to keep it
but i am moving to Australia in june
It had undergone a big restore by my garage a just over 5 years ago were all rust on body was cut out and new parts were fabricated an welded and same thing was done under body so its a solid van, as you can see i have since advertised my garage off it for years and it diden't cost anything,  which help me get lots of work in the past

and i have just had all seats reopustery done,  new gold silk curtans all round.
i will be putting a new MOT if sold so will have 12 months on it will do when biding gose close to reserve.or i might even put away for when i visit in my unit, obvously just depends what it feches

It has a 5 speed gearbox with has no crunching and the clutch is also fine and starts and drives well . It has a very tyres all round, Electrics are all good
It has some great moden style cubards and wood work for its age its in very good condition and looks nery nice with the new seats and curtains.

The Outside of vans body has the odd ding and surface rust pach here and there aswell as in pics . but still a tidy looking van and can be used as it is, looks great still  , it as some nice flip tone paint work on the van which changes coulor on  different angles

On the n/s of the van is the kitchen units which has a 2 burner hob, grill and the sink The van also has med size water tanks underneath.
Loads of cupboard and storage spaces has a small fridge.

this van is over 40 years old, a classic and im not going to say its 100% mint so may need bits of work doing here and there
a It as large lesure batery under rear seat with a voltage gage so you know what power is left in it on it also has a cd player
So overall this would make a great 1st time camper  van, were you will save over £200 in tax alone which will provide many years of service and some great fun as and when required. get ready this summer"

1985 Griffon (Bedford CF Electric Van) in California

This is the first Bedford CF that I found in the USA and it's a rare one. The "Griffon" on the grille gives it away as a electric CF converted by Lucas-Chloride in England. Only a few hundred of these Electric CF's were made and used by government agencies, the Royal Mail and local authorities so not many survived.
Except for the chrome Chevy mirrors, this one looks all original, even the hub caps.

It's for sale in California for $9,995.00 - Link: www.recycledgoods.com

"This collectable 1985 vintage production electric vehicle has less than 17,500 miles and is in average to good condition.
(...)
This item has not been fully tested and is being sold as is. This vehicle does take a charge and drives well. Sounds like the monorail at disneyland. This item is used and shows signs of normal wear with minior scuffs and scrapes. It is being sold "as is" no warranty. We do have a number of manuals and many spare parts which we will include. It can be previewed at our facility in Ventura, Ca. during business hours 8am to 5pm M-F."

I was finding it a bit odd that is van was a right-hand-drive but after some research I found out that 30 of these Griffon's were actually exported to North America:
"The Griffon was a GM Bedford van converted to electric power by Lucas-Chloride in England. These vans used the Chloride tubular-cell lead-acid battery for energy storage. More than 100 of these vehicles saw extended service in Britain, and at least 30 were used in North America. One is in operation at Ottawa Hydro (as of 1998). One 1985 Griffon was imported from England in 1986 by the Florida Department of power as a research vehicle. The interior is customized with four captians chairs and an rear bench and seats 6 adults in comfort. Additional features include two-tone paint, tinted windows, power brakes, AM/FM stereo, air conditioning, diesel fuel heater. Features include. Curb weight of 5,500 lbs, battery weight of 2,000 lbs, payload capacity of 2,200 lbs, and a gross vehicle weight of 7,500 lbs. There are thirty-six six-volt deep cycle lead acid batteries for a total of 216 volts. Drive motor is mounted at the rear of the vehicle and has a maximum output of 50 horsepower, at 40 KW peak power, 216 volts. The motor weighs 302 lbs and has a maximum rated speed of 6,000 RPM. The Traction Contoller is made by Lucas Chloride EV Systems and provides for regenerative braking to extend range. Performance Specifications include a daily range of 50-65 miles per charge, maximum speed of 55 MPH, energy usage of 1 mile per 1 kilowatt hour of electricity. Lucas Chloride Spiegel Single Phase 220 Volt Charger with a maximum DC output current of 30 amps. Onboard chargers are available. Routine maintenance for the electric drive system consists of topping the battery water levels approximately every three weeks with normal vehicle use utilizing a portable autofil unit."
