1985 Bedford CF Dormobile campervan
I have owned this van for two years, most of which it was in dry storage. I don’t know much of its history before I bought it but I believe it had been off the road for a while. All I have had done is light maintenance to get it through its most recent MOT, but the previous owner has welded a panel on the LHS body, fitted fibreglass wings and rear bumper, as well as and painted some of the interior and repainted the outside (by hand).
This van is not in mint condition, most of the interior is original so it’s got the expected age related marks and scuffs, inside is the original sink and hob as well as bed cushions and stretcher beds. The van also comes with a fridge which I believe is the original but cannot be sure. The Dormobile roof has the original PVC/canvas, which needs replacing as it has degraded in places, but the mechanisms are fully functioning. The headlining may also want replacing. One hubcap is missing, the other three are not original. The drivers and passengers seats are not original. The speedo and fuel dial do work but are not very accurate, could do with someone looking at the dash wiring. Underneath is pretty solid.
The van starts and runs, recently making a 100 mile journey with no issues, but could do with a little more work to return to its prime, hence being sold as a running project. However, the van is still usable and comes with mot until June 2022. Please be aware, there is no leisure battery included.
