ebay: Bedford CF Radical V8 Custom Van project

This is the custom Irish CF formerly known as the Saracen Warrior. I blogged about it a few years ago when it was for sale. The current owner was in the process of rebuilding it. I was following the build on the Rods n' Sods forum. Well now it's up for sale on ebay. It's still a work in progress but a lot has been done to it already. It seems that the owner just doesn't have time to finish the project.

Rover V8, electric/power everything, roof, windows, ariel, seats, steering, linear rams to operate both front and rear doors, (which also work by remote key-fob), 'Real Steel' built Rover V8 with auto box, cruisin ratio Buick rear axle, (good mpg), loads of custom tricks done to it, will make a show winner when finished. To be honest, I don't need the space or the money, I just haven't got the time to work on it at the moment and I don't want to see it stood, although I will rather than give it away so no silly offers. I live between Rotherham/Doncaster, just off the M18, and would suggest viewing the van to see what exactly has gone into to it. It needs paint, although it is in primer since the pics were taken, it needs a small amount of welding to the 'zoomie' exhaust system, and some work to finish off the interior, it won't be done in a couple of weeks, but could be finished and ready for next season. It will make a cracking show van with a bit of dedication and work... I'd like £5,500 ovno for it, I might swap it for something interesting and on the road. Check out this fully customized Bedford CF2 on ebay! I posted this Saracen Warrior van last year when it was for sale also. I don't know if it sold back then but here's another chance to buy this one of a kind van!

The murals were airbrushed by Neil Sinclair from AYR
The van has won many top shows including the Doncaster National Custom Show, Americana at Newart Billing, N.S.V.A. Nats and Butlins Wonderfest in AYR.
All body modifications are in steel. The front wings are peaked and the hood has been re-shaped to match the grill is scratch built to match the ford headlights.The front is all covered in steel. The arches and running board were bent and welded before being lead filled. The rear doors were removed and a mini metro rear hatch welded into place. The chassis was boxed and strengthened, the front hubs were replaced with new fin hard to get axle. The doors are a one off gull door wing, the interior is an American washable fabric. The engine is a 3.5 bore to 3.9 V8. Rover gear box bore warner 75 auto 8-4-2-1 stainless steel exhaust. The wheels chrome modular wheels from race ways Donnington. One off solid wood rim steering wheel. Chevy stainless wing mirrors and foot ladder and roof spoiler in sheet metal.
Vehicle is currently soren, vehicle starts and drives, needs tuned and brakes are sticking, has been in lock u for a number of years.

"Frank Morgan from Ayr in Scotland spent over 1000 hours building this custom van. All the body modifications are made in metal. The rear window is from a Metro. The Gull-Wing doors work on twin tailgate rams.Power is from a 3500 Rover V8 built from all new parts from Real Steel.It is mated to a re-conditioned Borg Warner 65 Auto. The exhaust is a stainless steel one off item 4:2:1 which makes the van run so quiet. Neil Sinclair airbrushed the murals over a Aubergine 2-pack base. The van has won many prizes over the years. "Best Paint" and "Best bodywork" at the Doncaster Custom Show and other prizes at Americana in Newark-on-Trent. It is has now been re-trimmed and is ready to be sold to someone who will give it a good home."
