Bedford Van - Go Indoors

"When it's cold and raining, the best place for middle aged men to head is their nearest DIY store. Getting there by van or U-Bahn, they gather to check out the latest hammers and spanners. Unfortunately, they sometimes get a bit upset when others get to the 8 inch adjustable wrenches before they do and things can become a bit tense. Luckily the best stores calm things down by playing acid house through their hi-tech sound systems."

ebay: "The Curse" 1984 Bedford CF Panel Van - UK

"The van was acquired for use in the hit Channel 4 television series "The Curse", an eighties crime caper about a gold heist. We have now finished filming so are looking to sell the van on. During filming the van was used as part of professionally controlled stunts but no damage. Previous to that the van has been much loved and well maintained by only three owners. Although the van has covered 133K miles its showing 33K on the original speedometer. If standing for 4 or more days prime the carburettor with bulb type pump in engine compartment, works every time. During the re-build many years ago now the colour was changed from light blue to dark blue this has been completed to a high standard the panels are straight end rust free. I’m sure as with all vehicles of its age will some improvements but these vans are few and far between in this condition. The popularity of classic vans is ever more increasing and these are very sound investments. The van has been used as a Day van/ Camper van as can be seen in the rear the option is there to return this to a classic load carrier or use as is, so there’s a few options for its continued use."

Star Music Bedford CF

INXS - Never Tear Us Apart

Channel 7 in Australia has an upcoming mini series called "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart" about the famous 80's rock band. They were able to find a similar Bedford CF that INXS used as a tour van back in the day. Here is a preview:

"All Bound For Mu Mu Land"

They travel the world
In their ice cream van
They've voyaged to the bottom of time
They've been to the place
where the Mu Mu mate
And the children still cry
"Mine's a 99!"

Man, I haven't heard this song since the early 90's... I just discovered this ad for KLF's "Justified & Ancient" single. The Bedford CF "ice cream van" is actually mentioned in the lyrics.
If your under 30 you probably have never heard this song. Check out  the "Stand By the Jams" version  featuring country music singer Tammy Wynette which was an international hit in 1991:
