1984 - NSVA meet at Scratchwood Services

 

"March 1984, the National Street Van Association arranged to meet, on a Sunday morning at Brent Cross Shopping Centre car park. The gathering was for a Street Machine magazine photo shoot. After a short discussion the meet diverted up the M1 motorway to Scratchwood Services where we'd have more space!"

Bedford "Centaur" - Custo Mania Magazine 1986

On the cover of CustoMania Magazine (September 1986) we can see "Centaur", a customized Bedford CF from the UK. This van actually was on ebay in 2010 with a slightly different paintjob and wheels. I don't know if it sold or what happened to it. I haven't seen it online since then.

ebay: Custom 5.2 V8 CF - UK

I just spotted this custom CF on ebay and it's completely pimped out oldschool style.

It has all kinds of crazy body work, custom paint, alloy mags, custom interior and a powerful 5.2L V8 engine! This was a head turner back in the day and with some small restoration it could start winning car shows again.
