"1985 Bedford CF2 Panel van.
Registered on the v5 as a grey van, This was sold to MBNA in 2017 who became only its 4th owner, they had the van painted in their colours and used it in their 'MBN A TEAM' advertising and promotional campaign.(Google search it and you'll find plenty of photos of the van in their livery at this time). The rear compartment has been ply lined and carpeted and there is a counter and signs of some racking to one of the walls. It's a good start for a retro camper or day van conversion back there.
Paintwork is pretty good, not perfect but show worthy although, personally, I'd have masked a few areas better That said, its shiny and there's very little rust or bubbling to be seen.
Prior to MBNA's ownership, the previous keeper owned the van from 1994 to 2017. And before that, what appears to be a butchers had it for just one month there's a note in the history file that they/he bought it to restore it as a Brooker Buildings liveried van.
The original owner was Peterborough City Council (AV being a Peterbrough number plate). There are copies of all previous log books in the history file the earliest shows that the van was originally yellow.
MBNA have used it very sparingly over the last two years. The MOT expired on November 4th 2018. It will require some gentle recommissioning at least. There appears to be very little rot, certainly for one of these!!! But there will be other works required. I have driven the van for about 50 miles on trade plates (withot the engine cover fitted at the time too) and it was cold, noisy and possibly a little smoky so please factor in some love there too. that said, the box was good and it stopped as it should although the indicators weren't flashing so I had to make them flash on and off with the stalk so as not to draw attention to myself in an A team themed van with a big daft roof spoiler.
Theres a pile of old MOTs, some workshop manuals, an owners manual, coppies of the old V5s all in the history binder.
Loads of photos to be found if you search for 'MBNA Bedford CF' online too.
The wheels from that period complete with almost new tyres are included in the sale but I cannot vouch for their roadworthiness as it appears they may have been drilled to fit possibly for photo purposes only.
That's as much as I know at this point. I'll gladly answer any questions, you can use 'ask seller a question' or call (...).
Please view if you wish, I'm in West Yorkshire.
I did drive the van here but would recommend that you arrange transport for it as I'm quite intrepid and even I was swearing by the time I parked up.
In summary, a great basis for a retro camper or dayvan or would look superb as a retro Rally Support van"
