This is an unusual engine swap for a Bedford - a Mercedes-Benz 3.0 Diesel from a W123 Series.
These straight-5 cylinder engines put out around 80hp and are known for there reliability, reaching up to half a million miles without need of any repair. There's no mention of what gearbox is being used.
