I first spotted this custom van last February, a rare sighting in Spain and now it's for sale.

Looking for a custom CF? This one has been modified inside and out. Sealed back doors, double headlights, trimmed front doors, flush door handles, mirrors... The whole drive-line was changed, disk brakes up front, a new 302 V8, Edelbrock heads, a B&M shifter, custom dash, seats, etc..
When ever you swap a big V8 in a CF you have to make a huge engine cover and you loose foot clearance that's why people usually choose a automatic gear box. In this van it looks like the seats were also pushed back ... I wonder if you can actually reach the pedals?
This project certainly isn't finished, it still needs some work done but it's a good starting point.

Ebay: 1982 Bedford CF250 Auto Sleeper Conversion

Up on ebay UK today is a CF Auto Sleeper, that means it has the pop-top roof and no side doors with large sliding windows. This one also has some nice alloy wheels! It seems to be in good overall shape, the starting bid is only £500, check it out.

This is an Auto sleeper conversion that quite easily sleeps four people, it has a double bed and two bunks and would be perfect for camping with the family. it has a cooker and sink and lots of cupboard space. The cupboards are solid but the worktops could do with replacing at some point. I have all the cushions for the seats but they will need recovering.

I discovered it in a friends garage and bought it as a project, I have done loads of work on it Including:

New bumper brackets, Shot Blasted & Primed the seat boxes, Fit Leather seat taken from a CF1, carpeted the Cab, Fit A pail of Crystal Halogen head Lights, New Xeon Bulbs, Pair of headlamp bowls, 2 new reg plate bulbs & reflectors, 20 new chrome wheel nuts
It starts and runs well, Has 4 good tyres, No tax or MOT

Its going to need a bit of welding in places (as they all do) and it has an oil leak at the crankshaft. ( all it needs is an new seal, which i have)
The van is not perfect but with a bit of effort this could make a really good camper.
