"Bedford CF Turbo Drag Racing Boogie Van

I am reluctantly choosing to sell my project van as I do not have the storage or time.

This was a custom show van back in the day often shown at custom car shows as well as drag racing at Santapod.

As you can see from one of the old photos it was a right looker with its deep metal flake paint job and turbo vector wheels. It also boasted a turbo charger on the 2.3 slant engine.

Now many years on I bought this as a barn find and it had not seen the road since the 1980s,

The engine had been stripped down by the previous owner and most of the components had become rusty, the block is still in the van complete with a gearbox with overdrive.

Most of the interior has been stripped out ready for my future plans to recommission and over time I have collected a vast array of spare parts and spare engines / gearboxes etc.

Just to be clear the van is a non runner, the engine in the van will need a rebuild as it has become rusty in storage, the TURBO is now part of another incomplete engine in storage - check out the YouTube videos and I have another engine that was removed from a running and driving cf and I have bench tested it in my workshop.

The bodywork now needs a lot of attention with rust in the usual places and the deep metal flake paint has cracked.

The van is located on the Isle of Wight only 5 mins walk from the Red Funnel car ferry if you would like to view.

The van has not moved from its current spot for a couple of years so the brakes may be seized and ovs it will need trailering away.

The sale includes the van in its current state with the silver steel wheels, the partial engine and overdrive gearbox, high ratio rear axel as well as the following items -

4x Turbo alloy wheels (tyres are cracked and no longer stay inflated
4x standard CF steel wheels and tyres
1x standard 2.3 slant engine that was removed from a working but scrap camper - I have had it running on a test rig and painted it ready to fit
1x standard 2.3 slant engine that I started to rebuild but stopped due to lack of time etc, this also has the original custom turbo set up.
2x standard gearboxes
1x front spare suspension cross beam complete
1x rear axle complete
1x good condition but used front windscreen rubber
1x spare front windscreen
Lots of spares collected over time from scrap campers or item bought for the project (way to much to list.

The V5 is the current coloured one and is in my name

This is a very reluctant sale as this was a dream project for me, there is a chance I may restart the project if time / money / storage permits but is now for sale

I have already had plenty of requests to ask if I would sell the Vector wheels separately - unfortunately this is not an option as if I end up keeping the van these as you can imagine will just look amazing on the finished project. so sorry I will not split any part of this project.
