"1977 CF Bedford
Chev 355 engine.Forged pistons. Trickflow R Series Heads. Super Victor Intake Manifold. Modified Holley 750DP carburetor. Hi-rise air filter.Electric water and fuel pump.Deep oil pan..Fully rebuilt ($6,000) approximately 4 years ago. Hardly driven since, but regularly started and run up to temp. Built tough by B&G Automotive in Tauranga for drag racing. Before rebuild,3 years of drag racing the engine never faulted. Runs on avgas due to high compression. 505 rwhp .755 Nm. Best time:12.1 @ 111 mph with full interior and passenger. MSB distributor. Chipped at 7000 rpm..Headers etc. Cost over $15,000 to build.
3 radiator fans (switch operated). Only ever needed to use 2.
Exhaust cut-outs.
Autometer gauges (fuel level, RPM with shift light, speedo, oil pressure, volt, water temp).
Chuck Mann full race TH350 manual trans. Deep alloy pan. Built to handles up to 800hp. JW 3500 rpm convertor.Stealth Pro Ratchet shifter.
Line loc.
Twin exhaust.
Ford 9” diff. 4.86: ratio. Full spools. Comes with spare 4.11 (mini spools), road friendly 3.90 (LSD) and 2.75 (open wheeler) complete 9” diff heads. Bolt in and go.
Tramp rods.
Front disc brakes (WB Holden).
Front shaved door handles. Remote operated.
Rear Wheels: Magnum 15x10. Tyres: Goodrich 275x60x15
Front Wheels: Magnum 14x7. Tyres: Goodyear 195x70x14
WB Holden tail lights
Fibreglass front bonnet..
This van was built to be reliable and to be driven hard.
Fully certified
Until recently, van has always had a WOF. Easy to drive on the road. Has never overheated. Runs 170/180F on the road.
All modifications and services done by Sonic Racing.
Registration on hold.
Van currently garaged and on axle stands, so can’t get good photos.

Red's True Barbecue - Liverpool

Besides up on a lift in a garage, where are you going to see a Bedford CF up in the air? At Red's True Barbecue in Liverpool... This place has got some cool decor including a old rusty red CF that you can dine underneath. I suppose the engine was removed so you won't get any drops of motor oil on your steak. I found a bunch of photos on instagram. The place seems very popular and the food is good. A place to visit if your in Liverpool.
