For sale: 1985 Bedford CF2 2.3 Diesel - UK

Just when you thought you couldn't find a immaculate example of a stock CF2, this thing pops up. Judging from these photos, this CF2 is in exclent condition and completly stock, except for the plywood lining in the inside. The only thing I can see it's missing is the CF2 sticker on the parcel shelf. It has obviously ben repainted and the lettering are vinil stickers that can be removed. The price tag is a bit high but that's what you have to pay to get a Bedford in such great condition.

"1985 Bedford CF2 Panel Van 2300cc Diesel. (...) This particular CF has had only 2 former keepers, Peterborough City Council until July 1994 (AV is a Peterborough registration mark) and then Mike Brown, MB Meats, Rowley Regis, Warley, West Midlands. Acquired in 1984 for restoring as a replica of one of the Brooker Buildings fleet of Bedford CF vans operated for several years from their works. The 2.3 litre diesel engine was a notoriously poor starter in cold weather and callouts for assistance early on winter mornings were a regular occurrence. Nevertheless these vans clocked up high mileages without any other major weaknesses and were often loaded well beyond their 2570 kg gross capacity. Being such a rarity on our roads we would like to think it is a sound investment. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended. All major debit and credit cards accepted. I just found this Bedford on facebook. It's the first one I have ever spotted in South America. The owner is from Buenos Aires - Argentina and he is going to restore it. I have no idea how it ended up over there and I guess he is going to have a tough time getting replacement parts.

É curioso que por acaso passei por esta CF hoje, mais uma vista em Caminha. E esta pareceu-me que já tinha visto em algum sitio. O arquivo do blog confirma, estava a venda em dezembro, e parece que alguem chegou-se a frente para circular nesta viatura funebre. As vinhetas do seguro e IPO confirmam que está a circular depois de três anos parada. No entanto toda o equipamento do caixão mantinha-se no sitio incluíndo a cruz. Infelizmente o dono não estava por perto e não consegui mais informações. 

Vende-se: Autocaravana Bedford CF de 1974

Este Bedford CF de 1974 convertido em autocaravana está à venda em Matosinhos por 6.000 €. O problema é que tem matricula inglesa (para não falar no volante do lado direito, mas não parece que isto vai fazer muitas ultrapassagens). Legalizar isto não será muito barato, mas quem tiver coragem e dinheiro para faze-lo fica com uma autocaravana única em Portugal. Estas carroçarias eram originalmente para ambulâncias no Reino Unido, mas muitos foram convertidos em autocaravanas.

Vende-se: Bedford CF250 de 1979 - II

Este CF já é conhecido daqui do blog. Esteve à venda em 2013, e agora aparece novamente à venda, com as mesmas fotos. Possivelmente ainda pertence ao mesmo dono. A grande diferença é que agora o preço é de 4.000 €, bastante mais acessível do que pediam há 4 anos atrás. As jantes especiais com pneus 15" estão homolgadas o que é um ponto positivo pois dão logo um aspecto completamente diferente ao furgão.

R.I.P. John Beare

Some sad news today I seen on facebook and BUGA. Well known Australian vanner John Beare has passed away due to health problems. Condolences to his family and friends.
His customized "BEDI76" pictured below is well travelled throughout Australia, appearing regularly at events. I guess it will probably be staying in the family.

This is a quite rare german camper conversion by Hymer. It's called the ERIBA TRAMP and is based off the german badged CF. It's got that boxy 2/3 poptop and the interior setup is very simple and functional as you would expect.
