Here is a very cool customized Bedford CF for sale in South Africa. It's got all the goodies like fender flares, quad headlights, hood scoop, chrome mirrors, port hole windows, mag wheels and A-Team inspired red stripe. It's too bad they posted very little info and only one photo in the ad.

For sale: Bedford CF - Finland

This Bedford almost made it as a "Junkyard Sunday's" post but despite looking abandoned in a field, it's actually for sale. These vans seem to be quite rare up in Finland so I hope someone picks it up and gets it running again. At first glimpse it looks stock but if you look closer you start to see many modifications. The rear doors have been removed and sealed up, and a fuel tank door has been moved to the rear quarter. The side windows are for the rear seats - this is 9 seater van and the engine has been swapped out for a 2.5L Opel inline six unit.

The Country House Mouse

This 1972 Bedford CF is being used to haul around vintage items to markets. Yes it's a CF1 with a CF2 front end and custom chrome front and rear bumpers. Also notice the giant chrome rat on the grille. You would probably find that on a ratrod but this CF has been nicely restored and I guess it's supposed to represent a mouse... since the company is called "The Country House Mouse".

"For SALE. LWB 1976 CF Bedford. Windowless. 173 red motor. 9" diff. Celica 5 speed manual. Hasn't been started in years, needs new brakelines and master cylinder. Jellybean mags, 4 brand new tyres...Never done 1km with these tyres. Sunroof, Cd player, white in colour, some rust as usual with bed fords but nothing too major.

1970 Bedford CF - Armored Van (Sherlock Jones)

Scenes from the 1975 dutch film "De Dwaze Lotgevallen van Sherlock Jones" with a 1970 Bedford CF armored van. Also used in the movie is a Bedford TK fuel truck and a Bedford CF Camper van.

For sale: 1973 Custom Bedford CF1 - Germany

Here we have a customized 1973 Bedford CF1 for sale in Germany. Notice it has the Bedford badges instead of the Opel Blitz ones, so it was imported probably from France since it has the typical french fiberglass fender flares. Speaking of the exterior, it got a few custom goodies, like rims and port window and the mate green paint looks very military with the painted bumpers and rims. It's powered by the early version 1.8L diesel engine.
The inside is empty but the walls and roof are all lined up with wood or some type of plywood. Overall it looks to be in good shape and the seller is asking 3 900 €.

Not too long ago I was posting about the Electric CF and now two of them pop up for sale on ebay! The seller says that there were former airport vans, so they have very little mileage but as you can see in the photos, they have some dents and a few rust spots. These CF's are certainly worthy of being restored since they are so rare. One of them has the original lead battery pack. It would be interesting to upgrade to Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, since the new technology is more reliable, lighter weight, more range, faster to recharge and the prices have dropped a lot in the last couple of years.
The bids are starting very low, only 1 more day until the auction ends!

"STRICTLY FOR SPARES OR REPAIR. Here we have a pair of electric powered Bedford CF2 vans, short wheel base, with no side loading doors. Only one retains it's battery pack, and I suspect they might be best suited to conversion with normal engines and transmission.

A "fetching" shade of GPO yellow, they have completed minimal mileage in their previous career at an airport, and although scruffy, are remarkably solid, with minimal corrosion, and very restorable.

The photo's show them unwashed, without even a brush out, I can take others if required."

Encontrei estas fotos no forum.autohoje.com. Penso que ainda não tinha visto esta Bedford, embora já há por ai algumas muito parecidas que foram buscar inspiração na GMC da A-Team (emblema GMC na grelha). O dono desta também pintou as letras brancas nos pneus que ficam bem na jante de ferro preta.

"Classic 1981 Bedford CF Facelift 250 Camper Van Genuine Dormobile 3 Berth Pop Top Conversion. 8 Months MOT - Low mileage for year - only 88,612 =2,500 miles/year.
The van is in reasonable condition for a 35 year old vehicle as you can see from the pictures but is in need of some tlc.
It has all the usual campervan features:
Cooker; Sink; Water Tank; Electric Hook-Up; Huge Double Bed; 240V Lighting.
Good points:
Long MOT; looks ok from a distance; drives and stops; a very roomy van; fantastic 70s style Scoobydoo wagon (if you like that sort of thing); electric fuel pump fitted - starts every time!!!!; great rear seating arrangement; very comfy front seats
Not so good points:
Fridge has been removed (apparently a previous owner put in a standard electric domestic mains fridge and just plugged it into the mains socket!!) - Space and vent are there for a replacement 3-way campervan fridge; No leisure battery; Hook-up lead is missing; MOT advisory - some corrosion to rear wheel arch corners; Mechanically could do with a service; 3rd berth is a stretcher bed in the roof space which is fine for a child or very slim adult. Interior is rough and could do with a refurb. Some interesting hand painting around the roof guttering. Has got dings and dents as you would expect for a 35 year old large vehicle.
I bought this van as a running project but my wife hates it and have now bought something newer and more modern. I bought the van in June from an old guy of 86 who could no longer drive it - its heavy and does not have power steering. He told me that it had a replacement cam belt when he got it back on the road (I have the old one in a box). I reckon it had stood for some time before being put back on the road so I would suggest it would benefit from a good service.
It can be used as is or with a bit of time and effort turned into a really great looking van.
